Lucky Star

I look at her in the mirror & I see me

I bask in the glory of her beauty

She said I’m a star, yours truly

In my silver hue success is one

The way her lashes flutter I know I’m her forever

Abundance as my rite, my art work thrives

Some think she’s lucky, she knows she’s blessed

Best dressed, magazine covers

She recalls this moment as she steps out

Fashions most honorable invite

The Met Gala

  1. I love this poem. I really love the self talk that you use throughout. I wish that we all could look in the mirror and say I love who I am and that’s final. We don’t do that enough!
